The title is taken from a chapter in our book but more than that, these words reflect what life has become these days. We have forgotten what life is. The fresh air, staring at stars, the shade of trees, the fragrance of flowers... Have they gone? No.
We have sent them away. Nature is a part of geography, but we're making it history. We have become ignorant to it. Call it a technology effect, or some revolution, but the natural effect of everything has disappeared. By everything, I refer to human nature too. Fake nature of humans is not something shocking these days, but it's common. We are running after money and other materialistic things that apparently, make us happy. The peak of success for us is a successful show-off attempt. We want to impress people who don't even matter to us. We are under others' influence and have forgotten our own selves. We want to be like others and don't respect ourselves. In short, we want a shortcut to success. And what we aren't realizing is that these shortcuts are going to cost us loads in the long run! Money can't buy everything. The happiness we get from money is going to last temporarily. We think life is only in luxuries but our interpretation of life is wrong. This marks the end of life, and the race to survive starts here. Extravagance and glamour is what you'd be fed up of. Loneliness of spirit is what that would remain. You'd long for a friend, you'll log for peace, for nature's beauty. But no one would be there. Everyone would be obsessed by his own self. No one would have any time for anyone. No time for his brothers. No time for his mother nature, who would be crying in pain. Today we aren't giving time to nature, tomorrow it'd turn our backs towards us. And when we'd realize the importance of nature, it'd be too, too late. The earth and the world would be shedding tears. And the sun would have set...forever.
Tough to imagine that time, eh? God forbid but if that time ever comes, it'll all be because of us. We are the children of God, and we have to take care of the world. We are the future! Enough damage has been done to nature and to mankind. Appreciating beauty of nature is the need of the hour. Nature is a God gift. So why not let it remain for our children to see and cherish? There are several ways to preserve nature, we read environment- friendly tips etc. daily in newspapers, our textbooks. So why not take a step ahead? Why not implement?
And man badly needs to love his own self and his fellow ones. Discrimination should be abolished...not just by a law, but by man's heart.
If love and care are what we feel,
only then are the world's wounds going to heal!

Vrinda,I was wondering if you leave evrything and become a writer, you would get all you want. You will get time to relax and chill with yourself. You'd get time to enjoy the extravagant beauty of nature. And I am sure that by your literature, every creature in this world would be inspired. Vrinda, god bless you. May he strengthen your pen. You will go ahead, remember! I am too young to say this. But this is what my experience compels me to.
